Guides work together in Patrols, to plan their own activities. Patrols provide a ready-made group of friends and are always ready to welcome new members.  Each Patrol is different, members of the Patrol choose and organise their own activities with the help of their Patrol Leader.

Guides make a Promise in a special ceremony, which can be anywhere.  Some of our favourite ones were in ball pit, on a ride at the Centre of Life, in the middle of a Guide Show, at Sedgefield racecourse, at the Big Gig and on Guide Holiday.

 The Guide Promise is:
I promise that I will do my best:
To be true to myself and develop my beliefs,
To serve the Queen and my community,
                            To help other people
                            To keep the Guide Law

The Guide Laws are:
o A Guide is honest, reliable and can be trusted.
o A Guide is helpful and uses her time and abilities wisely.
o A Guide faces challenges and learns from her experience.
o A Guide is a good friend and a sister to all Guides.
o A Guide is polite and considerate.
o A Guide respects all living things and takes care of the world around her.

We all agree and sign a Unit Charter which gives ground rules we must follow at Guides, click here to see our Unit Charter

At the end of each meeting we all come together to sing TAPS.
